Today felt like a complete fail. I have only had one or two days this semester where I feel like I wrecked everything. Today was one of those days. I really missed everything in one way or another.
Chocolate Chip Cookies-
AKA the mono-cookie... Yep. I am certain that I over creamed these cookies and that was pretty disappointing because everything else was great. As a result to either the over creaming or too much fat added, the cookies spread out HUGE. It was a bummer.
Creme Anglaise-
Also a disaster. Not to pat myself on the back or anything but I have been pretty good about my custards and they somehow end up okay. Today was not as successful. I overcooked my mixture and it separated. The scrambled eggs did not do justice to Chef KJ's elixir of life! Next time I will be more conscious of how long I cook it. If I can make it right, I would like to pair it with caramel sauce because it will remind me of flan and flan is lovely.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY:
Don't over cream your sugars and fats. Don't scramble your custard. Also shout out to Chef KJ for helping me with my rolls.
