I FINALLY CUT A CHICKEN MOSTLY RIGHT!!
Today was really awesome in that I finally cut up a chicken the way I was supposed to! I also figured out how to make straighter cuts on my carrots by measuring it from above when before I was doing it from the side. The result every time was a slanted and uneven cut, now my slices look much better, not perfect yet, but much better.

As directed, we made rice pilaf with sauteed chicken breast, spinach, julinned vegetables and a supreme sauce, with pesto. It was so fun and cool to make!

Rice Pilaf:
Although it was over cooked, it had really great flavor. I didn't do so swell on that though. Next time I make it I'm going to make sure I am extra sure on my measurements. . I think the cooking of the rice is a very critical point of the recipe. Rice pilaf is not rice pilaf if it is over cooked.

Supreme Sauce:
This sacue was not difficult to make and it was a really delicious end product. I feel like getting the volente sauce back to the correct consistency is extremely important. This sauce needs to get to a boiling point so it can reduce properly before the mushrooms and cream is added. I would love this sauce with some pasta!

Julienned Vegetables, chicken and Spinach:
Sautéed!! All delicious and wonderful with literally everything.

Pesto:
So good but not quite the same without pine nuts. I loved the fresh zing of the basil with the meal though, it really pulled the flavors together. I feel like choosing fresh basil makes a big taste difference in pesto.

WHAT I LEARNED:
Today I really learned a lot more about multi tasking. Because you are working with many components to a recipe, you need to time everything so it is all ready at the same time.
